Physical Progress: The progress on all water systems under construction (an average of 8 villages per district) is at 63%. 

The objective of the project is to improve health and livelihoods of Basotho living in the rural areas, through increased and sustained access to improved domestic water supply and sustained access to improved latrines and also improving the hygiene practices amongst the Basotho. The main activities include the construction of new schemes.79 water supply systems and 11 140 VIP latrines will be implemented through rural water supply and sanitation project funded by GOL.
