The Metolong Dam & Water Supply Programme comprises five main components. Advanced Infrastructure, Metolong Dam, Water Treatment Works, Downstream Conveyance and Environmental & Social Development. Design and construction of the dam is funded by a consortium of Arab Donors, namely BADEA, Saudi, OFID and Kuwait. Design and construction of Water Treatment Works and Conveyancing System is funded by Millennium Challenge Account (MCC). Design and construction of the Administration Block, Information and Operations Centre is funded by Republic of South Africa (RSA). Environmental and Social Development Programme is funded by World Bank. The European Investment Bank is funding Advance infrastructure Phase II- Bridges and Access Roads; Rural Electrification; WATSAN Phase II, Intregrated Cathment Managements; Primay line to Maseru, command reservoir to Mpilo 1 and Mpilo 2;
