Physical Progress: Construction is progressing well, preliminary test were executed on pump station (ACPS 1) and snag list was handed to contractor, Operation and Maintenance manual has been handed to WASCO for comments before final O&M manual. Masoew II extension, Thetsane West sewerage network construction is ongoing. Survey for Maseru Mall grease separator and sewerage network has been completed.
To contribute to the Government of Lesotho’s efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goal of halving the number of people without access to sanitation by 2017 through the development of the mid-term strategy for the provision of a modern, environmental friendly system of wastewater collection and treatment within the administrative boundaries of Maseru, the capital of Lesotho. The project will consist of rehabilitation and extension measures for the improvement of the wastewater collection, treatment and disposal systems in town areas where a piped sewerage system exists or proves justified.
