The Water Sector Improvement Project Phase II supported by the World Bank, will support the GoL to develop the next least-cost, longer-term solution to supply water to the Lowlands (Maseru, Roma,Morija,Mazenod,Teyateyaneng) along with distribution network expansion, continued reforms within the sector and scaling up community water supply systems in an environmentally sustainable, socially responsible and economically viable framework . The World Bank funds will be applied to the Teyateyaneng extension of the conveyance system, The Metolong Dam and Water Supply Prorgramme environmental and social management programme and continued institutional and policy support to the water sector.
